Spring Split Pea Soup

Darla Kaye Wynne, South Carolina

This recipe is quick and easy if you have a crock pot. I recommend starting it about 9 in the morning to have it ready by supper time.. Add your dry beans, water, pork, onion, sugar, salt, pepper, and garlic. Turn your crock pot onto high and put the lid on it. In a about 3 or 4 hours, it is ready for it's first taste test for the spices. Add what you feel is needed. Your soup will be ready in about another 3-4 hours. You can garnish with mint leaves and a raspberry if you like.
